Freshman Orientation at San Marcos High School
SMHS Link Crew is excited to welcome the Class of 2030 with our annual Freshman Orientation! This event is designed specifically for incoming 9th graders to help ease the transition to high school, meet fellow students, and get to know the campus.
📍 Location: SMHS Gym
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM
🗓️ Dates (by last name):
- August 10 (A-K)
- August 11 (L-Z)
What to Expect:
- Meet your Link Crew Leaders
- Take a guided campus tour
- Connect with other incoming freshmen
- Meet your Principal and staff
- Get helpful tips and info to start high school strong
- At Noon, lunch provided for students
- Pick up your schedule and Books
- Purchase items like spirit wear and PE clothes
Additional Information:
CNS will provide lunch at noon and will show students the process for getting their lunch when school starts. After lunch, students will receive their schedules, textbooks, and Chromebooks before heading home. Parents are welcome to come in through the Student Union beginning at 12:15 to assist their student with book pick-up. Families will also have the opportunity to purchase PE clothes, yearbook, ASB cards, and sports passes.
This event is for incoming 9th grade students only.
